Project Overview

We are working with a reputable marine specialist contractor to recruit a Project Manager for upcoming schemes with the Environment Agency. The contractor is an established civil engineering company in the sector, delivering projects for local authorities, private clients, the EA, and wildlife conservation organizations. They have a strong reputation and a commitment to developing their workforce.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects ranging from £200,000 to £2 million, including new access roads, wing walls, capping beams, boardwalks, and embankment works. The projects will be located in picturesque environments, such as rivers and lakes, or in Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) locations.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements
* Build relationships with client representatives and stakeholders
* Collaborate with the commercial team to manage change and ensure project deliverables
* Oversee health and safety on site
* Manage project design and quality
* Ensure project deadlines are met by managing the project program

Requirements

* Experience as a Site Agent, Senior Engineer, or Sub Agent looking to step into management
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
