Principal Biostatistician Contract Opportunity

Advanced Resource Managers is supporting a leading contract research organisation in their search for a Principal Biostatistician - EMEA on a contract basis.

This is a contract role that will last 12 months, working full-time as an Advanced Resource Manager.

About the Contract Research Organisation

The organisation is dedicated to improving patient health and advancing medical research. They support life sciences companies through all phases of clinical trials, from early development through to post-market support.

The Principal Biostatistician will guide project teams, oversee statistical analyses, and contribute meaningfully to clinical development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as lead statistician on projects, conducting meetings, managing timelines, and assessing resource needs
  2. Prepare and manage project budgets while ensuring SOPs are followed and documentation is up-to-date
  3. Collaborate with programmers and data managers on database maintenance and analysis structure
  4. Design statistical analysis plans, including sample size calculations, randomisation schemes, and efficacy-focused tables
  5. Interact with project sponsors on study progress, statistical elements, and communicate changes in project scope

Requirements:

  • MS/MA in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field, with a minimum of two years' relevant experience (or equivalent)
  • Strong proficiency in SAS programming and database structures
  • Proven leadership in managing multiple projects and/or team members
