**Job Title:** Senior Biostatistician

**Estimated Salary:** £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled biostatistician to join our team at the MRC Biostatistics Unit at the University of Cambridge. As a senior biostatistician, you will contribute to research in statistical science for blood transfusion and transplantation, collaborating with NHSBT and blood transfusion services worldwide.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in statistics or a closely related field and good knowledge of modern statistical techniques. You will be experienced in developing novel statistical models and methods, applying statistical methods in genetics, biology, or medicine, and have a good working knowledge of statistical software and strong computer programming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis and develop new statistical methods for blood transfusion and transplantation research
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to design and implement studies
  • Develop and maintain complex statistical models and software
  • Publish research findings in leading scientific journals
