Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all employees in the company, drive change management projects, and promote corporate values. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping a positive culture, embedding Mental Health & Wellbeing, and liaising with senior staff in a commercially sensitive way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote corporate values and shape a positive culture, including the embedment of Mental Health & Wellbeing.
  • Liaise with senior staff in a commercially sensitive way and take overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
  • Manage employee relations, including absence, disciplinary, grievances, and sickness.
  • Oversee staff attendance and absence monitoring and provide detailed HR reports to senior management teams.
  • Administer employee-related paperwork, including employment contracts, new starter packs, and formal notices of termination.
  • Assist with performance management and review processes and maintain up-to-date people processes and documents for the entire employee life cycle.
  • Oversee training and development of employees, including apprentices, company-wide, and relevant HR training for staff.
  • Be trained in Mental Health First Aid and oversee other Mental Health First Aider roles within the company.
  • Be proficient in payroll admin processes necessary to support the Payroll team.
  • Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement through feedback channels, including engagement surveys, feedback forms, and exit surveys.
  • Coach managers on performance management issues and processes and provide guidance on development for managers and their teams.
  • Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals to improve company culture and benefit the organization financially.
  • Liaise with our HR support team via telephone and email to ensure all actions are indemnified.
  • Handle highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc Human Resources duties.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and at least two years' experience in the field.
  • A CIPD-accredited (or equivalent) qualification.
  • A passion for all things people, including Mental Health and Wellbeing.
  • Superb communication skills, honed in business partnering/advisory roles.
  • Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.
  • Ability to represent the HR function as part of the bigger business picture.
  • Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing TUPE, redundancy, or other relevant HR projects.
  • A strong understanding of employment law.
  • A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development, and reward for individuals.
