About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to join our Installations Team in Birmingham. As an Installation Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting our installations team and customers. If you have a strong background in construction site supervision and are looking for a challenging role with opportunities for progression, this could be the ideal position for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and be part of our growth and expansion. As an Installation Supervisor, you will be based out of our Birmingham branch and will be working on customer sites across the UK. You will need to have a positive attitude, flexibility, and integrity to succeed in this role.

As a key member of our Installations Team, you will be responsible for leading by example and overseeing all direct and indirect workers on site, including third parties employed by Selwood. You will need to ensure that RAMS are briefed and adhered to by your team and check that the quality of equipment is fit for purpose before an installation begins.

Health & Safety is our top priority, and you will need to be aware of the safety of others around you. You will be working on construction sites with potential risks, and you will need to have the confidence to stop any unsafe acts during any activity if it is not safe to carry on.

This role requires flexibility, as you will be involved in a call-out rota and will be expected to commit to supporting your team by working overtime outside of your normal 40-hour working week. You will have the opportunity to earn fantastic increased overtime rates.

This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of the solution/sales project from conception to completion in conjunction with the solutions/sales team.
  • Liaise with the Installation Manager, delivering up-to-date information on the installation progress and any potential problems and foreseeable issues.
  • Carry out on-site RAMS processes, ensuring all on-site risks have been identified and stringent control measures have been put in place, with the methodology of the installation communicated to all site staff and customers at every stage.
  • Install pipework alongside and supervise the day-to-day workload of the Installation Operatives and sub-contractors on site.
  • Assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Aptitude to work on construction sites and a good understanding of onsite safety.
  • Ability to adapt and meet challenging situations with a positive approach.
  • Flexibility with working hours and availability to be part of our 'on-call' 1 in 3 rota.
  • A current Full UK driving license with less than 6 points.
