HM Treasury Correspondence Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft high-quality, accurate responses to various types of correspondence, collaborating with policy teams and other government departments to address issues raised effectively and sensitively.
- Ensure timely handling, drafting, and responding to correspondence and information requests, adhering to departmental timescales.
- Work as a team to accurately assess incoming correspondence, allocating it to the correct team for a response.
- Engage confidently with senior managers, policy teams, and other stakeholders to maintain relationships with HM Treasury's departmental teams.
- Develop skills to provide flexible cover and support to HM Treasury's Correspondence and Information Rights Team and the wider unit as needed.
- Embrace change and technology, adapting quickly to innovation and automation of processes.
About the Team
HM Treasury's Correspondence and Information Rights Team is a diverse and inclusive team, seeking to encourage applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds, skills, and experiences.
The team is comprised of the Correspondence and Enquiries Unit and the Information Rights Unit, working closely together to deliver high-quality responses to those who contact HM Treasury.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our team. Prior experience in a correspondence team is not essential, but we will be asking candidates to demonstrate their ability to quickly learn new processes, work at pace, and balance multiple deadlines under pressure.
