Senior Freedom of Information Case Lead

The Treasury is seeking a senior caseworker to lead the Freedom of Information Team within the Information Rights Unit. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert and trusted FOI handling advice to empower your casework team to achieve business priorities.
About the Team
The Correspondence and Information Rights Team (CIRT) consists of the Information Rights Unit, the Correspondence and Enquiries Unit, and the CIRT Technology Team. This role sits in the Freedom of Information Team within the Information Rights Unit.
About You
We're looking for a senior caseworker who has the experience and ability to deal with complex information requests. You will have line management responsibilities, being responsible for the performance of your team and ensuring their casework and operational delivery is of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead improvements to the FOI process, particularly improvements to the timeliness of internal review responses.
Provide visible leadership to empower your casework team to achieve business priorities.
Improve HM Treasury's timeliness performance for internal reviews.
Transform and streamline processes and ensure new ways of working are successfully embedded in the team.
Lead complex casework working with senior collaborators and engaging directly with the ICO and lawyers acting for us at FTT stage.
