Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Leaving Care Solutions.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people who have been in care and are moving towards independence. As a Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will provide a responsive, customized, and quality service to young people placed in their individual flat or shared house.
Key Responsibilities:- Work in line with person-centered risk assessments, support plans, and liaise with support workers to provide a full handover.
- Observe any change in behavior, ensuring appropriate actions are documented and report changes in support needs of any young person.
- Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals by communicating effectively at all times.
- Ensure continuous support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff, with particular focus on the safety of vulnerable people.
- Carry out any necessary health and safety actions, including cleaning tasks, along with set policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT).
- Support young people who need to attend the hospital or police station.
- Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
- Flexibility in availability, as the role will include weekend work.
- Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
- Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle required.
