Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide responsive and customized support to young people, working in line with person-centered risk assessments and support plans.
- Observe and document any changes in behavior, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people.
- Maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals, communicating effectively and actively seeking ways to improve the experience of young people in our service.
- Ensure continuous support is provided to young people, focusing on their safety and well-being.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as the police and Emergency Duty Team, as needed.
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
- Flexibility in availability, including weekend work.
- Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
- Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent computer skills.
