Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Risk Manager - Automotive Wholesale Funding to join our team. This role will involve assessing new business applications in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures and legislation. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Financial Risk Manager - Automotive Wholesale Funding, you will be responsible for:

  • Underwriting both retail and business proposals within senior underwriting mandate
  • Collaborating with senior underwriters and holding monthly meetings to ensure collaboration
  • Assisting dealers and Dealer Account Managers to convert negative decisions to acceptance by utilizing guidelines
  • Supporting underwriting queries from the team and providing full support in decision making
  • Training and reviewing individuals to support them in gaining relevant mandate levels
  • Following up on deferred proposals for further information on a daily basis
  • Writing Fleet and Factoring credit proposals with recommendation for sign off
  • Reviewing ongoing and interim provision of wholesale funding requirements proposed by Network Funding Department to support commercial performance and manage Mobilize-FS risk
  • Investigating CIFAS applications correctly and thoroughly, identifying possible frauds promptly, and referring them for further action
  • Protecting the company from fraud and financial exposure at all times

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of underwriting automotive financial agreements
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Excellent report writing skills to generate balanced and informed credit proposals
  • Eye for detail and good standard of numeracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to challenge credit reviews and recommendations

Mobilize Financial Services offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
