Job Overview

This full-time, permanent role will involve working closely with students, staff, and parents to provide care, support, guidance, discipline, and encouragement to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. As a Support and Guidance Professional, you will be responsible for managing student behavior and performance, providing individualized support, and promoting positive relationships within the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage student behavior and performance through active engagement, setting clear expectations, and using effective communication skills.
  • Provide individualized support to students, identifying areas of need and developing strategies to address these needs.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistency and continuity of support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, using data to inform decisions and develop action plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of child development and the principles of supportive relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to manage complex situations, remain calm under pressure, and think critically to resolve conflicts.
  • Knowledge of behavioral management strategies and restorative practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary
