About the Role

This role works closely with and supports the work of the SENDCo to help raise standards of achievement across all curriculum areas. The Assistant SENDCo will lead Nurture Provision in the Education team. They will be the Provision Lead for the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support inclusion work within the school by working closely with the SENDCo, Therapy Lead, teaching, and senior staff to provide specialist support/advice to ensure that students' needs are met and barriers to learning are overcome.
  • Work with and provide specialist support to individual students and groups of students.
  • Lead Nurture Provision in the Education team and be the Provision Lead for the school.

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Calm, engaging, resilient, and good interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential
