About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Five Wells, a category C prison located in Northamptonshire. As a Bank Primary Care Nurse, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service, undertaking medication rounds, dispensing controlled medication, attending emergency response situations, assessing patients, and undertaking reception screening. You will also promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered nurse with a current professional qualification (NMC), evidence of continued professional development, understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, a non-judgmental and compassionate approach, and excellent communication skills. Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
