What will you be doing?

We are in search of a dedicated, motivated, and enthusiastic HR Information Systems Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis, contributing to the automation and enhancement of our current Human Capital Management tool (Workday).

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and thrive in a dynamic environment. They will be process-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about HR systems (Workday), process efficiency, and HR technology.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to take charge of HR systems within the organization and engage in a continuously evolving function. You will gain exposure to various aspects of HR systems, including Workday and our Learning Management System (LMS) and Intranet. Collaboration with senior leadership will be key to optimizing existing HR technology and exploring potential new projects. Hands-on experience with Workday is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HR team by leveraging technology to fulfill their priorities, projects, and annual processes.
  • Act as a key advisor and influence various HR projects and initiatives by providing HRIS expertise.
  • Build trusted relationships across the HR team and other key stakeholders, understanding their needs and advising on how to utilize HRIS for efficiency and a seamless experience.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and support Workday functionality and configuration (including HCM, Absence, Performance, Advanced Compensation, and US Payroll).
  • Drive HRIS components of key annual processes such as Performance Evaluations, Compensation Reviews, and Open Enrollment.
  • Recommend improvements in HR processes and systems to support automation and enhancements across all HR Systems.
  • Ensure data integrity within Workday, focusing on quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability.
  • Design Workday reports emphasizing utility, visual presentation, and ease of interpretation for end users.
  • Monitor support queries, resolving them where possible or liaising with our AMS Partner.
  • Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Participate in the bi-annual Workday release cycle, including research and assessment of changes to existing functionality and new features.
  • Manage one Workday Analyst.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including those with Workday, our AMS partner, and other HR Systems.
  • Create training materials and tools.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in Workday systems support.
  • Configuration experience in Workday modules such as HCM, Performance & Development, Absence, US Payroll, US Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Security groups, Business Processes, Report Writer, and bulk data loads (EIBs).
  • Strong knowledge of Workday integrations.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Proficient in analyzing and cleansing large datasets to create effective business solutions.
  • Ability to identify process efficiencies and data flow across HR systems.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in the continuous improvement of HR processes within a global organization.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices across the employee lifecycle.
  • Capacity to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Clear communicator, especially in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to learn technology through both instruction and self-training.
  • High attention to detail with a natural inclination to investigate complex issues and thoroughly test solutions.
  • Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression system testing.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables.
  • Critical thinker with strong time-management, organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Self-motivated, confident, and results-driven individual.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of HTML is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Significant experience working in an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
