Quality Engineer CMM Job Description

The successful Quality Engineer CMM will be responsible for the management and execution of measurement systems and analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of quality systems and the ability to maintain detailed quality records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain Inspection Plans, ISIRS, and FAIRS.
  2. Implement measurement policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
  3. Participate in product design reviews to promote repeatability and reliability for production.
  4. Conduct capability studies / gage R&R as directed.
  5. Perform internal audits to AS9100 standard.
  6. Carry out other duties as reasonably requested.
Requirements:
  1. Working knowledge of metrology with a background in quality engineering.
  2. Able to understand and read engineering drawings.
  3. Excellent knowledge of quality systems.
  4. Ability to maintain detailed quality records.
  5. Applied working knowledge and use of basic metrology tools, Imperial and Metric.
