HR Generalist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team in Preston on a 6-9 month Fixed Term Contract.
The ideal candidate will be a CIPD Level 5 qualified HR Assistant or HR Advisor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on employment-related matters.
This is a Generalist role, requiring a broad range of HR skills and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational duties, including Employee Relations (ER), Recruitment, absence management, change processes, compliance administration, and providing generalist HR support.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice to employees and managers on ER matters, ensuring that all cases are dealt with promptly and fairly.
- Manage absence cases, investigating and resolving issues in a timely and confidential manner.
- Support managers through organisational change, providing guidance on process improvements and implementing new procedures.
- Deliver regular KPI data and metrics to inform activity and improve business performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, coaching, guidance, and support to employees and managers across the organisation.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job advertising, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates.
- Raise offer letters, contracts of employment, and amendments as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in HR, preferably in a Generalist role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
