Natural Catastrophe Risk Expert

Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Natural Catastrophe Risk Expert to lead our exposure management efforts for natural hazards. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of risk landscapes and be able to accurately identify emerging risks relevant to Hiscox. They will work closely with senior management and business units to shape the Hiscox View of Risk and ensure it remains within appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies for managing accumulations and concentrations of risk.
- Engage with regulators and help shape future regulatory requirements.
- Presentation skills required to confidently articulate research activity externally.
Requirements:
- Experience of Exposure Management/catastrophe modelling.
- PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent influencing, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
