We are looking for a highly skilled Natural Catastrophe Analyst to join The Emerald Group's team.

Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum.

About the Role:

The role focuses on assessing and managing natural catastrophe risks across multiple lines of business, supporting effective catastrophe risk mitigation for the company.

Key Duties:

  • Analyzing and monitoring natural catastrophe metrics, including producing, maintaining, and refining group reports.
  • Operating and optimizing exposure management tools, seeking opportunities for automation to reduce manual intervention.
  • Interpreting and managing ceded contracts within exposure management tools.
  • Collaborating with various business stakeholders, responding to ad-hoc requests by manipulating data from exposure management tools.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) or equivalent is preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in exposure management, natural catastrophe risk analytics, or related fields, with multi-line business reporting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and MS Excel; experience with Python, Power BI, and/or Julia is beneficial.
  • Extensive experience with third-party natural catastrophe models, particularly RMS RiskLink.
