Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Specialist Consultant to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board NHS in North Wales. About the Role

This role offers the chance to work closely with colleagues across various divisions, providing specialist oncological services to our patients. You will be responsible for participating in multidisciplinary teams, assisting in transferring patients between disciplines, and covering inpatient needs for oncology patients. Your active participation in audit, teaching, and continuing medical education (CME) will also be crucial in ensuring our service remains up-to-date and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist oncological services to the population served, focusing on common cancers and agreed-upon oncology subspecialties.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues in other divisions to ensure seamless patient transfers and journeys.
  • To liaise with Oncology, Haematology, and Palliative Care teams to provide inpatient coverage for oncology patients.
  • To participate actively in audit, teaching, and CME initiatives to enhance our service's quality and effectiveness.

Salary Information

The salary for this position ranges from £83,217 to £124,454 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. This figure is based on the 2024/2025 NHS Agenda for Change pay award.
