Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Hammonds Furniture is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

About the Role

As a key member of this collaborative team, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment remains operational for the manufacturing operation. Working across both of the manufacturing sites in Hinckley, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance, proactive maintenance, projects, and inventory control, from fault finding to resolution within agreed timescales resulting in as little disruption to the operation as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks on production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing fault finding and repair tasks on CNC/PLC/PC controlled machine tool or process control production equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to include PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical.
  • Experience in fault finding on Siemens S7 and/or Mitsubishi PLCs.
  • Stock allocation, stock checks, and stock management processes completed in line with departmental procedures and policy.
Requirements
  • A wealth of experience within a similar role working with CNC/PLC/PC controlled machine tool or process control production equipment.
  • Apprentice trained or time served in Multi-skilled maintenance.
