About the Role

As a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer, you will join the esteemed Raytheon UK team, driving innovation in defence and aerospace technology. This exciting opportunity is part of the Systems & Products business unit, where you will contribute to the development of Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions for the military market.

Main Responsibilities

You will report directly to the Senior Project Engineering Manager APNT, providing Technical Leadership and Direction for the Engineering team. Your key duties will include:
  • Collaborating with Customers and System Engineering Teams to shape technical requirements and designs.
  • Representing the Engineering team in production IPT, investigating queries, managing obsolescence, and phasing change management.
  • Developing expertise in high-speed digital design (up to GHz), electro-mechanical, and thermal product design within harsh environments.
  • Designing circuits in analogue and digital, with experience in FPGA or DSP control.
  • Applying systems engineering principles to drive product development and achieve demonstrable results.
  • Managing tasks and engineering team activities, prioritizing effectively.
  • Traveling throughout the UK, Europe, and the US as required.
  • Hold a degree in STEM or equivalent industry certification.
  • Experience in schematic, PCB layout tools, and electronics simulation environments.
  • Product Quality Testing and Certification.
  • Familiarity with SysML or UML in Systems Engineering environments.
  • Experience with configuration management systems.
