We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our First Response, Assessment and Screening team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality social work services to children and families in Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities- Take part in a duty rota, responding to incoming contacts over the telephone and progressing enquiries on contacts received via the phone and online.
- Apply a robust threshold consistently and make clear recommendations for next actions within 24 hours.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our Family Help Triage and partner agencies to support identifying the right outcomes for children and families.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and deliver excellent services to children and families.
- Qualified Social Worker holding a Social Work degree or equivalent, registered with Social Work England.
- Extensive knowledge and application of social work legislation, methodologies, social care policies, guidance, procedures, and case reviews.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people, including representatives from other agencies.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to respond flexibly to changing requirements.
