About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our First Response, Assessment and Screening team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Social Worker in this role, you will be responsible for working with children and families to assess and respond to their needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and respond to incoming contacts from professionals and members of the public, providing support and guidance to children and families.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Develop and implement plans to support children and families, including providing guidance and support to help them achieve positive outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for next actions, working closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work degree or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge and application of social work legislation, methodologies, social care policies, guidance, procedures and case reviews.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people, including representatives from other agencies.
- Excellent demonstration of the ability to prioritise effectively across a wide range of competing demands to meet deadlines.
