We are seeking an experienced Comprehensive Benefits Strategist to join our team at National Grid.

Job Description

This is a key role within the Global Benefits team, where you will provide strategic support to the Benefits Strategy in managing all aspects of the employee benefits portfolio.

You will work autonomously on project work relating to key benefit changes or business initiatives that support the ongoing efforts to continually improve our benefits provisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the annual flexible benefits enrolment for approximately 9,000 employees
  • Maintaining competitive benefits frameworks and ensuring relevancy and value add to the business
  • Delivering channels for range of benefits frameworks through Shared Services Centre or contract managing 3rd party providers
  • Conducting external benchmarking and networking to maximise awareness/knowledge of market practice in all areas of benefits

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of benefits within a large commercial organisation
  • Knowledge of the benefits marketplace in the UK
  • Experience managing flexible benefits systems/platforms with a large choice of benefit selections

We offer a competitive salary up to £66,000 per annum dependent on experience.

In addition, we offer:

  • Discretionary Annual Bonus (based on personal and company performance)
  • 28 days annual leave plus eight statutory days in addition
  • The option to buy additional/sell holiday days every year
  • A generous contributory pension scheme - we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%
