Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a skilled Project Worker to provide support to children and young adults at Dolphin Lodge in Hythe. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling and empowering our young people to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
The successful candidate will establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement. You will assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focusing on positive outcomes to maximise clients' potential and enable them to exercise choice and control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality person-centred support to enable and empower our young people to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
- Establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence.
- Assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focusing on positive outcomes.
- Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required.
- Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable clients to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults.
- Proven experience of working with relevant client group.
- Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant client group.
- Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills.
