Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Trainer to join our team. As a Simulation-Based Training Expert, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a simulation service to facilitate expansion in training opportunities for medical undergraduates, postgraduates, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver simulation-based training within curriculum requirements for medical undergraduates and national guidelines for postgraduate trainees.
  • Create simulation scenarios and deliver MDT teaching sessions for all grades listed above.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement simulation-based training programs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff in all healthcare locations throughout NHS Scotland.
  • Travel throughout the islands and to the mainland for meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Extended post-registration experience as a registered healthcare professional.
  • Up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or another health-related subject.
  • Experience in teaching clinical skills and simulation-based training.
  • Ability to travel and work in a rural setting.
