About the Role:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, ensuring they engage effectively with the curriculum across KS1 and EYFS.
- Work closely with students with ASD, employing strategies to encourage communication, engagement, and independence.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement and adapt individualised learning plans.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that fosters growth and confidence.
- Monitor and document student progress, contributing to regular reviews and strategy updates.
- Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required, ensuring the well-being of all students.
About You:
- Experience working in SEN schools or supporting children with additional needs in an EYFS or KS1 setting.
- A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach to working with children with ASD and other SEN.
- Knowledge of SEN-specific strategies, including visual aids, sensory interventions, and communication tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
