About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Physiotherapist/Nurse to join our team in North East Community Respiratory Service. As a key member of our integrated team, you will play a vital role in delivering pulmonary rehabilitation, COPD optimisation, and respiratory physiotherapy to patients living with chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality pulmonary rehabilitation classes in various community venues, adapting to the needs of patients with complex respiratory conditions.
  • Conduct home visits to assess and review patients, utilizing your problem-solving and motivational skills to overcome barriers to pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, care planning, education, and interventions to support respiratory management.
  • Work autonomously, with support from the team and division colleagues, to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pulmonary rehabilitation programs, contributing to the improvement of patient outcomes and service standards.

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Registered physiotherapist with HCPC or Registered nurse with NMC Adult registration.
    • Professional knowledge and skills acquired through formal training, short courses, and experience to degree level or equivalent.
    • Relevant post-qualification training through short courses and/or further study and experience.
    • Evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Desirable:
    • Member of appropriate clinical networks.
    • Recognised registered qualification and further courses and experience relevant to the role.
    • COPD postgraduate module.
