We are expanding our team to support the delivery of the next phase of New Nuclear Build. As a Senior Nuclear Plant Construction Engineer, you will be part of shaping the future of nuclear construction in the UK.

Our Nuclear New Build business is focused on supporting major stakeholders in the nuclear sector in achieving the new build renaissance. You will provide support to clients during a critical and exciting time for nuclear power in the UK.

As a Senior Nuclear Plant Construction Engineer, you will be focused on new nuclear power station design and providing engineering support while plant is being commissioned and operated in startup or test modes. A background in equipment engineering, such as Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, Electrical, and I&C, is desirable.

The main aspects of this role require the development and delivery of a pipeline of work that helps us grow and deploy capable staff as our clients' projects move from construction through commissioning and pre-operations into operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations.

This role requires a strong safety culture commensurate with nuclear and high-hazard industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing design analysis in support of construction change
  2. Developing and delivering a pipeline of work to grow and deploy capable staff
  3. Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations
  4. Working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide support

We are looking for a person with prior experience in construction or operational support activities, including:

  1. Operational roles and/or operational support roles at operational nuclear power plants (ideally PWR technology plants)
  2. Construction, commissioning, pre-operational, or operational environments with a strategic awareness of international best practice and operational focus
  3. Maintenance and outage environments for operational facilities, bringing a strategic view of international best practice and the execution of work
  4. Applying a mixture of technical and operational expertise to develop the right skills in our teams to support our clients in the latter stages of major nuclear new build projects and into the operational phases

This position requires you to be available to work on site during commissioning and start-up activities.
