About the Role:

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Planner to join our team. As a key member of our regional set-up, you will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in construction planning and project management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing detailed project plans, schedules, and work programs, and will be able to monitor and report on project progress against plans and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and work programs to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget
  • Monitor and report on project progress against plans and schedules, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
  • Prepare progress reports and present to senior management and clients
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Utilize project management software and tools for effective planning and coordination
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Planner or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CIOB, ICE)
