Job Summary
Croydon Drop In is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Education Mental Health Practitioner and Children's Wellbeing Practitioner Trainee. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in mental health and wellbeing, working closely with our team to provide high-quality support to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Support children, young people, and parent/carers who are referred to our Mental Health Support Teams or community services.
- Participate in clinical supervision to support your professional development and ensure high-quality practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective mental health and wellbeing strategies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Young Person Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) Education Mental Health Practice (EMHP) & Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) from Kings College London.
- Ability to balance a busy work and study schedule, with frequent travel across different sites for university and work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and adults.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
