We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Royston. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional help, ensuring they stay on track with their learning.
  • Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, promoting a love of learning among students.
  • Support the class teacher in managing student behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.

Requirements
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs.
  • Two recent professional references.
  • Experience with behaviors that are challenging.
  • A calm and caring personality.
  • A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupil development.
  • Excellent reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training.
