Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Consultant to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a Community Paediatric Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consultant-led community paediatric services within the area of South Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular outpatient clinics and assessments of children within the Community Development Centre (CDC).
  • Liaise with schools and education authorities as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Manage and assess children with neurodevelopmental difficulties, including ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and associated comorbidities.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and management in a collaborative way with all members of the team.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the safeguarding of children.
  • Provide paediatric advice and support for pupils attending a Special School.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the management of neurodevelopmental difficulties and associated comorbidities.
  • Confidence in working closely with multi-agency partners and Level 3 training in safeguarding children.
  • Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and management in a collaborative way.
