About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Health Care Assistant to join our new Community Diagnostic Centre in Northampton.

The location for the new purpose-built Centre will be Kings Heath, where we will run MRI and CT services.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will work with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers and Radiographers, providing support to qualified clinical staff in patient care, facilitating patient movement through the clinical pathway, and performing administrative duties such as data entry, post-processing, and reception cover.

You will also be required to IV cannulate patients, with full training provided by Alliance Medical. Hepatitis B immunisation is necessary for this role.

The hours for this role are 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.

Main Duties
  • Provide administration and customer/patient support, including chaperoning patients and assisting Radiographers throughout the scanning process.
  • Undertake administrative duties related to the patient pathway, in line with standard guidelines.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and good IT and administration skills.
  • Understand and comply with radiation protection protocols.
  • Have excellent patient care skills and attention to detail.
