Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of financial services, is seeking an experienced Credit Control Team Lead to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the key ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely collection of payments, improving company cashflow and minimising risk. This role will also involve leading a team of 6-8 Credit Controllers, developing individuals and improving team performance.

Key Duties

- Delivering excellent customer service at all times, adhering to company collection/credit policies
- Developing the team against targets and KPIs, looking into areas of development in order to achieve set goals
- Customer account management, resolving queries in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure that invoices, statements and receipts are processed promptly, including transitioning more customers to electronic documentation
- Using Payment Portals and EDIs on specific client accounts
- Review customer Credit limits, resolving accounts on stop
- Manage legal, escalation process through to debt recovery
- Review daily, weekly and monthly performances across the team

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Strong business partnering skills and ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Good system skills, preferably with experience of SAP or similar systems
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- CICM qualified or equivalent desirable but not essential
- At least 5 years' experience in a fast-paced B2B credit department

The estimated salary for this role is between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum.
