Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at The Skills Coalition. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management and coordination of environmental activities within our organization and client sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Environmental Management: Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development programs for staff on environmental systems of work and legislative requirements.
- Audit and Compliance: Manage and maintain an audit regime for statutory and environmental compliance, ensuring that all sites are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Environmental Planning: Produce and deliver environmental plans to support operational objectives and ensure full compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with personnel and external agencies on environmental matters to facilitate site improvements and foster a positive environmental culture within the organization.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide detailed monthly reports to inform management and shape environmental strategy, policy, and product development.
- Qualifications: IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-10 years of experience in environmental management, compliance, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of environmental principles, legislation, and ISO 14001 audits; strong organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively; and solid IT skills.
