Mechanical Site Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Technician to join Elsdon Group, a leading organization in the industry. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems on-site.

Our ideal candidate will have an NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, accompanied by HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Industry-specific certifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent in mechanical systems and maintenance are desirable.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in mechanical maintenance or installation, preferably in an industrial or construction environment, familiarity with industry-specific equipment, and a valid CSCS Card or equivalent certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and technical expertise.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and contractors to streamline workflow and meet project goals.
  • Prepare detailed maintenance reports, documenting equipment performance and suggesting improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project.

Estimated Salary: £52,000 per annum
