Senior Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team in Bedfordshire CAMHS services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition and intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate the delivery of services and provide specialist supervision, consultation, training, and direct clinical interventions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and effective crisis management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Postgraduate (Doctoral) Training in Clinical Psychology leading to Practitioner Psychologist Registration with the HPC.
- Post-doctoral training in supervision.
- Experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition and intellectual disabilities.
- Experience of providing specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
- Highly developed knowledge of clinical psychology, including lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management in relation to the health and welfare of children and young people.
