We are seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Assistant to join our team at an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. This is a full-time opportunity that begins in December and runs through the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance.

The successful candidate will support students with a range of learning needs, leveraging their psychology knowledge to make a positive impact on their educational and social experiences. This role is ideal for a psychology graduate who is interested in understanding educational psychology firsthand, especially those considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth work.

  • Student Support: Work closely with students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to build confidence, promote positive behaviors, and enhance learning strategies.
  • Behavioral Assistance: Use psychological principles to assist in behavior management and reinforce positive interactions.
  • Academic Guidance: Help students understand and apply classroom content, offering practical study strategies and breaking down complex material to foster learning independence.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track individual student progress, documenting both achievements and areas for development.
