About the Role

This exciting opportunity is part of our esteemed Research and Development Department, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and support staff. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering effective nursing care, ensuring the smooth operation of clinical trials, and providing exceptional patient experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing practice, with experience in clinical trials or research settings. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability will enable you to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients participating in clinical trials, adhering to standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct clinical procedures, including venepuncture and cannulation, under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
  • Collect and record accurate clinical data, including standard observations and measurements.
  • Support the planning and coordination of clinical research studies, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and partners within the integrated care pathway.
  • Ensure all study-related activities are carried out according to study protocol and timelines.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and colleagues regarding research protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • FdSc in Healthcare Practice (Nursing Associate) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in clinical trials or research settings, with a strong foundation in nursing practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
