Program Director, Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch programs, monitor performance metrics, and report on key objectives that affect deliverables.
  • Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with various Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and driving progress within a program environment.
  • Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards.

A Day in the Life:

As a Program Director, Operations, you'll be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure smooth running of our operations. You'll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work and what you and your teams can learn.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience leading process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
