Social Work Assistant

Role Responsibility
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Social Work Assistant to join our Maidstone Children Social Work Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need.
As a Social Work Assistant, you will work closely with Social Workers, families, and partner agencies to provide high-quality support and services to children and their families. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships and deliver effective support.
Key responsibilities will include facilitating family time, providing parenting support, and exploring healthy relationships and communication. You will also be required to work flexibly across the team's geographical area, providing support to families in need.
Kent County Council offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to balance home and office working. The contractual base is at Maidstone, Invicta House, and you will be expected to work across the team's area.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. As a customer-facing position, you will be required to have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
