The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Forensic Social Worker to join our Inpatient Team. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals within our secure setting, assisting them in maintaining connections with their communities and families where appropriate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive social work assessments and interventions for patients.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Liaising closely with community mental health services, safeguarding agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of our service users throughout their journey.
About You
You will be a registered Social Worker with a strong commitment to person-centered care. Experience in forensic social work is desirable, but we are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate:
- A deep understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and other relevant legislation.
- Proven experience in adult safeguarding and working with individuals lacking capacity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
