Clinical Immunisation Specialist

About the Role:
Vaccination UK is seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Immunisation Specialist to join our team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our School Aged Immunisation Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical duties relating to immunisation, primarily delivered on-site in schools for children of primary and secondary age groups in community clinic settings.
- Vaccinate 20 to 25 schoolchildren per hour during flu season, maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Work collaboratively with the team, organisation, and company stakeholders to facilitate the smooth continuity of service delivery.
- Promote and support the operation of our School Aged Immunisation Service, ensuring seamless integration with existing programmes.
- Support Programme Managers, Team Lead, and Clinical Lead as applicable, contributing to the development of staff and driving organisational success.
- Attend sites across different locations as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver an effective, evidence-based, and competent level of care to patients, prioritising their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
- Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported, monitored, and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Participate in audits, making recommendations based on findings and sharing outcomes with the team for collective learning and growth.
- Actively and constructively contribute to team meetings, engaging with colleagues and driving positive change.
- Undertake Gillick Competency Assessments and take verbal consent from parents and caregivers, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and respect.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position, embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth and development.

Essential:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Customer service and people management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Assertive, team player, and critical thinker, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to team success.
- Must be able to drive, with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification, with a strong foundation in clinical practice and patient care.
