About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at WSH Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and contributing to the development of new menu ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, dishes, and presentation of food to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Stock Rotation and Food Labelling: Maintain accurate stock levels, rotate stock, and label food items to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • General Cleaning Duties: Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure high levels of food safety and quality are maintained at all times, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Menu Development: Contribute to the development and planning of new products, menus, and promotions to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Cooking Techniques: Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Education: Leaving Cert level education or above.
  • Qualifications: NVQ qualification or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a real passion for food and customer service.
