Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at The Clockspire. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team in delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Stock Management: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, manage stock levels, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • General Cleaning Duties: Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Menu Development and Planning: Contribute to the development and planning of new menu items, promotions, and events to enhance customer experience.
  • Section Management: Assist in the smooth and efficient running of your section, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard and deadlines are met.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Cooking Skills: Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for food and customer service.
  • Education: Leaving Cert level education or above, with a NVQ qualification or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
