Overview
At OSI Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Lab Scientist to join our Cargo Research Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and validating linear accelerators and associated sub-systems in our X-Ray Imaging Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test linear accelerators, including their components and subsystems, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate records of system and sub-system testing, results, and documentation, utilizing industry-standard tracking software.
- Support wider company efforts in production, engineering, and commissioning, including FATs and customer demonstrations, as required.
Requirements
- PhD in Particle Accelerator Physics or RF Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience working with electron linear accelerators and test equipment, including vector network analysers and oscilloscopes, is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced product development environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of high-power RF systems, high voltage power supplies, and/or beam dynamics is highly desirable.
- Understanding of safe systems of work with particle accelerators and their sub-systems is essential.
