Arborist / Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Arborist / Project Manager to join our team at Utilise Recruitment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Landscaping, Arboriculture, and Ground Maintenance, with a proven track record of leading projects and small teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in liaison with the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure work is completed within a set geographical area.
  • Fully utilise a team of operational staff, mentoring and guiding them and monitoring quality of works.
  • Carry out Tree Surveys, applying for permits to work near roadspaces.
  • Ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, customer service, and profitability.
  • Excellent organisation skills in order to prioritise effectively and balance demands from numerous sources.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of managing / leading projects or small teams.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Prior experience in Landscaping, Arboriculture, and Ground Maintenance industries.
  • An awareness and respect for Health & Safety precautions.
Desirable Requirements:
  • SMSTS / SSSTS - Site Management Certification or Construction Education.
  • LANTRA Basic or Professional Tree Inspectors Qualification.
  • NPTC Utility Arboriculture Units 1, 2.1, 5.1, and 5.2.
