The Department of Corrective Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead its medical services division. As a key member of the department's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality medical care to inmates across the state.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned healthcare professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the department's mission of providing safe and effective correctional services. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that improve the health outcomes of inmates and support the overall goals of the department.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within a correctional setting. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to provide guidance and support to a team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to inmate healthcare
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight of medical services operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards

Salary: $321,258 - $417,020 p.a., plus 11.5% superannuation.
