Finance Assistant within Purchasing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Assistant to join our Finance team at City College Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting Senior Finance Assistants with processing and reviewing financial transactions, with a specific focus on Purchase Ledger.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review financial transactions, including Purchase Ledger, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide professional customer service to students, staff, and external organizations, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to achieve financial objectives and goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including faculty and staff, to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial activities.
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations, laws, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and improve financial processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a busy finance environment, with a good understanding of accounting systems and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide professional customer service to students, staff, and external organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
